From the 11 to the 14 of April it has taken place in Dublin, (Ireland), in center Emaus, the annual meeting of the economists of the Provinces of Europe. There one has been on finances and economic subjects the different provinces. Also the General Economist presented a report of the economic situation of the Congregation and the project of guide of the economists that the General Council is preparing to present to the meeting of the Extended Council who will be celebrated this year, and that he serves as guide of the economists for all the Congregation.
Day 13 in the evening we were received by the President of the Republic of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins and its Mrs. Sabina, in the Presidential Palace of Altars an Uachtar¡in, in Phoenix Park, and after the speeches strictly speaking on the part of Mr. Presidente and of the P. Marc Whelan, provincial of Ireland, we could amiably share with Mr. Presidente and his lady, while we took the tea or the wine from honor that offered to us. Soon they showed different rooms to us of the presidential palace with the busts and pictures of the nine Presidents whom Ireland has had from its independence in 1938 and explained their history to us. Through those same corridors they passed Pope John Paul II in 1979 among others, Presidents John Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama of the United States, Reina de Inglaterra Isabel II in 2011, Reyes de Espa±a Juan Carlos I and Sofia in 1986, and other many Presidents and Chiefs of State of different countries.
The third President of Ireland, Eamon de Valera (1959 1973), whereas clause one of the majors political leaders of Ireland of century XX, studied in the schools of the Irish espiritanos.
